🌨️ Our Story Begins with a Snowstorm and a Beer Can
In December of 1965, on a snowy afternoon in Morris County NJ, a few spirited skiers had an idea: start a ski club for socially-minded singles. That spark led to an informal gathering in the basement of the Dover Sports Center, where plans were set in motion.
Soon after, 26 people came together for the club’s first official meeting at the Mountain Motor Inn in Rockaway. As they debated what to name their new group, someone raised a can of Miller High Life and said, “Why not High Life?” Whether it was a joke or genius branding, it struck a chord — and High Life Ski Club was born.
🎿 A Club That Grows With You
What started as a singles ski club has grown into a thriving community of nearly 400 members. Over the decades, friendships have blossomed, couples have met and married, and the club has evolved to welcome everyone — singles, couples, families, and their guests.
